History

Before 1993 there was a total lack of opportunity for the students of Ode and nearby villages to acquire higher education. Geographically, Anand (V.V.Nager) is 25 km. away, Nadiad is 30 km. away and Dakor is 20 km. away which had Arts, Commerce & Science Colleges being run at that time. So the native of Ode and former Member of Parliament from Sabarkantha District, Late Shantubhai Chunibhai Patel took initiatives and gathered social leaders, academicians and donors to think about establishing a higher education institute at Ode. Thus to establish the college, Shree Ode Education Society was formed on 27th. March 1992 From 15th. June 1993, Shree D. M. Patel Arts & S. S. Patel commerce was commenced at the premises of Sarder Patel Vinay Mandir High school , Ode.
